Welcome to my tarot blog. I am a tarot beginner, I picked up my Rider-Waite deck shortly after Christmas 2009 after having wanted to learn to read for a long time. I keep this blog mostly for myself, but would welcome any discussion that anybody would like to contribute to my tarot journaling. I am especially interested in the history of Tarot/Tarocchi and would like to learn not only how to read Tarot cards, but Tarot card games as well.

This morning, I drew the IX of Swords (while listening to a metal cover of Lady GaGa's Bad Romance- I don't have a lot of time in the morning before I head out to work, so this morning I multi-tasked). To me, the 9 of Swords is a very mournful, regretful looking card. It looks kind of tired. I checked in with "The Only Tarot Book You'll Ever Need" to see what it signifies in the reversed state, and it told me that it represents mental anguish, and that it's time to face the facts that beliefs previously held are now holding (the querent) back from progress. I'm not sure what this means for me today.
