Welcome to my tarot blog. I am a tarot beginner, I picked up my Rider-Waite deck shortly after Christmas 2009 after having wanted to learn to read for a long time. I keep this blog mostly for myself, but would welcome any discussion that anybody would like to contribute to my tarot journaling. I am especially interested in the history of Tarot/Tarocchi and would like to learn not only how to read Tarot cards, but Tarot card games as well.

Feb 12 2010: Daily Tarot Card Draw, Page of Swords

Feb 12 2010: Daily Tarot Card Draw, Page of Swords

This morning, I pulled the Page of Swords out of my Rider-Waite tarot deck. I get a lot of swords when I do these one-card readings in the morning, if I get pips then they'll be swords or pentacles, rarely cups and rarely wands. I've previously stated that I don't really like getting court cards, as I find them hard to interpret, but I won't say no to a Page. I find the Pages to be less frustrating for me than the Kings and Queens are. In the Page of Swords, I see a person (possibly young, or possibly just new at something) who is not necessarily experienced, but is confident. The scene looks windy to me (kind of like how it usually is in Nova Scotia).

The 2-Hour Tarot Tutor suggests that the Page of Swords could represent an angry young person, a headstrong youth, an immature person, somebody on the defensive, a poor planner, but I didn't immediately percieve anything like that from it. Again, I don't usually get a lot out of the court cards without some further study.

My guess is that there will be rough times ahead, I might not have all the necessary skills needed to tackle the situation but I should stay the course and keep my chin up and just do it.
